The Albany and Eastern RR and Pacific Railcar Operators “PRO” invite you to journey on their railroad from Lebanon, Oregon to Sweet Home, Oregon for about 35 miles round trip on well-maintained rail. This date has been adjusted to make it part of the Motorcar Operators West (MOW) “2024 Northwest Rail Tour.” This is a run of many scenic contrasts from commercial to residential, then industrial followed by open country, forests, then it slices through the town of Sweet Home to more industrial and forest, and a geological surprise just before we turn the cars. On the return trip we will stop in Sweet Home, a short walk from Mc Donalds, so you may have a gourmet lunch. This will be a no frills run, so we will not be towing a potty car. The Albany & Eastern RR is also home to the Santiam Excursion Trains, (santiamexcursions.com).
Dry camping is permitted on the railroad’s property on Saturday night, May 18th only. All vehicles must be off railroad property by 11:59 PM May 19th.

This will not be a full mentoring run but operators who have attended a mentoring school can arrange to complete their operating run requirements. Please Contact Guy Howard, ghoward@efn.org, before the run to set this up.
